Who Do You Say That I Am?

Who Do You Say That I Am?

Unlike us, when Jesus asked the question, “who do you say that I am?” (Mark 8:27) He knew the answer.  We started asking this question, from the depth of our souls as soon we could comprehend that others had an opinion of us. We asked early, we asked often and we’re still asking. When people came up short of enlighten us about our value the search broadened. We looked to many things to tell us of our value, we looked in the mirror, we looked at our evaluations, we looked to our popularity on social networks, and we looked to our accomplishments, our bank accounts and our children.  The problem is there is only one who can really tell us who we are; the one who crafted us. (Psalm 139:13). God sent his Son not just to take our stuff to the cross, but to give us an identity that can’t be changed, lost or tarnished.  We’ve been looking for answers in all the wrong places, now it’s time to ask the question from the one who always knew the answer. Your Father is the only one who can tell you of your worth and the only one who will never drop it. If you struggle with understanding your identity in Christ connect with me today.
